The Ethiopian Evangelical Churches Fellowship of Canada was established in Calgary, Alberta in July, 1993. Pastor Sisay Toy of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church, Coordinator at that time, and Pastor Kebede Degu of the Ethiopian Church in Vancouver called the church leaders for a meeting.
Today we would like to thank them for all their efforts on our behalf. They have played a very large role in helping us reach where we are today.
From this point, leaders of the Ethiopian Evangelical Fellowship will be elected every three years from among Ethiopian church leaders.
Many pastors have served as leaders on the Executive Committee one or more terms. To all these brothers, we would like to express our sincerest thanks for all your help and support.
This year as we receive the Word of the Lord, it is our desire to raise the standard of our Fellowship to the highest possible level, with excellence in all of our activities, including in our local churches. This will help us promote the Lord’s work to the greatest degree.
Pastors, church leaders, elders and all church members in our Fellowship, let us all love, work together and give our time and financial support to the Lord, honouring and respecting one another as true brothers and sisters in Christ.
Jesus Christ came into this world to die on the cross for sinful and lost mankind, and to show His Love for us.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (JOHN 3:16).
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (ISAIAH 53:5)
